Brand Licensing 2014 University of Oxford Licensing Programme Preview

The Oxford team has been working hard over the past 12 months with impressive results. Key categories such as apparel and back-to-school have continued to attract new licensees and well-known partners both in the UK and internationally. Home decoration and tableware licenses have also been agreed and a range of Oxford themed leather bags and accessories is currently in development.

Current licenses are performing well at retail including the ‘Oxford by Timothy Oulton’ range of furniture, which has been refreshed and updated with a number of new range introductions including the Butterfly Collection inspired by the entomological displays at the University’s Museum of Natural History. Apparel ranges by Yamato in Japan and Beanpole in South Korea continue to feature the Oxford branding as well as college and sports club crests, while Chinese back-to-school licensee Sky Unicorn, has successfully extended the distribution of their Oxford range into Russia and Eastern Europe. The first range of University of Oxford science kits from Science4you is also completing academic review, with eye catching packaging concepts nearing completion too.
