Oxford Limited was established in 1991 as a subsidiary company of the University of Oxford to manage and develop its Retail and Brand Licensing programmes.
20 years on, the Brand Licensing programme operates on a global basis. Six licensing agents currently represent the brand in key territories and a growing number of licensees create ranges of consumer product across a variety of different categories from toys and games through to back to school, furniture and apparel.
The Retail programme now encompasses the University of Oxford Shop on Oxford's High Street, as well as the e-commerce business, www.oushop.com. They are the only official retail outlets of the University and stock a broad selection of gifts and merchandise that appeal to visitors and tourists, as well as staff and students of the University, and residents of Oxford. All profits generated through retail are returned to the University to further teaching and research.
Services provided by Oxford limited to the University include the popular Internal Market Service which sources and coordinates the production of official merchandise for University departments and colleges. For more information on the range of services available click here.
